Fuel Efficient Cars

The economy we have today is making things very difficult on us in a number of aspects of our lives.  One of the things that is really difficult right now is the price of oil and therefore gas.  If you want to make things a little better for you and your family then the fuel efficient car will be something to look at.  Fuel efficient cars have another purpose other than just being a great option for saving money.  They are also considered green cars for the most part.  The green cars have solar or other types of systems that will run off of little gas.  In fact you could go 100 miles on one gallon just because of the solar system in the car.  Let’s take a more in depth look at fuel efficient cars.
We have a list of the top ten most fuel efficient cars.  This list was compiled after tests were run regarding their performance and CO2 emissions.  The information is that they offer between 124 and 190 on the miles per gallon.  That is a huge difference when you consider most cars, which get between 20 and 40 miles per gallon.  In fact the VW as a regular engine is one of the best for gas mileage.  Before we offer the list of cars that are most fuel efficient let’s talk about diesel.  Diesel engines run off of a different type of fuel. Diesel tends to burn slower than other vehicles.  It is more expensive than regular petrol; however you usually get 10 miles more on diesel than a regular gas tank.  This is why fleet trucks operate on diesel rather than the petrol.
For regular engines the VW or the diesel engine will be more fuel efficient.  Of course if you want the overall best with 124 mpg or more then you need the real fuel efficient cars.  The list is below.

  1. Vauxhall Tigra
  2. Renault Megane
  3. VW EOS
  4. VX Astra
  5. Peugeot 307
  6. Ford Focus
  7. Vauxhall Tigra 1.4
  8. BMW
  9. Mazda MX-5
  10. Peugeot 207

These are the top ten cars offering the most fuel efficiency on the market right now.  They all have the hybrid technology.  The hybrid technology uses the sun and the driving you do to charge the car.  You will have a monitor in the car showing you when you are on the hybrid technology and when you are using fuel.  In fact you will have a little sun meter to see the recharge that will occur with the hybrid.
Fuel efficient cars will have the same power as other vehicles as well. It may not be a turbo engine, but you are able to get the engine power you need when you need it.  For example if you are waiting to turn and there are cars coming, but you still have plenty of time, you have the power to get across the road.  You also have the same speeds as a regular engine.  So fuel efficiency is top priority for your next vehicle if you want to spend less at the pump.
