Hen Parties

Hen parties are all girl affairs for different types of occasions.  The most notable hen parties are the bachelorette option for before the wedding.  Whether you are getting married or just want to have fun, hen parties are the way to go.  So what is involved in a hen party?
The answer to that question is the limit of your imagination and budget.  You can have anything at a hen party as long as you can afford it.  In fact some hen parties are taken overseas to another country for a big splash of fun.  To get a hen party started there are some aspects to consider.  Organisation, duration, and activities provided during the party must be discussed and planned.
You can have an unplanned hen party, but these usually don’t go off as well as you would hope.  So let’s look at the organisation side of things.
You can take a day or half a year to plan the hen party.  During the organisation phase you need to know how many people may show up.  Invitations should be sent out at the beginning of planning, once you have a list of who you want to invite.  The amount of organisation will depend on the spontaneity you would like to have.
For example, if you want to have every detail planned and every activity to have a start time then you might organise quite a bit.  Spontaneity is a great thing in a party, so don’t over plan.  Organisation will be booking the place for the party, the food, drinks, and activities.  You can also have a hen party hosted in someone’s flat.  It is up to the number of individuals and who might volunteer their place.  Cleaning should also be on the list of organisation so that everyone contributes.
Now that we have talked about organisation and things to consider in getting the party off the ground, let’s look at some activities and themes.

  1. Pyjama party
  2. Halloween party
  3. Male dancers
  4. Board games
  5. Dating games
  6. Fashion party
  7. Wine party
  8. Dancing

The list just has a few of the many ideas that are out there.  You could fly to Paris for a French Hen Party or just have the Parisian theme.  The point is that any activity or theme will help to keep the party alive and fun.  Since it is an all girls party, having some male dancers can spice it up quite a bit.
This is especially great for the bachelorette option for before the wedding; giving that bride a little something to look at before the major commitment.  Casino hen parties are another great idea.  You can rent a room at a local casino hall or create your own place.  If you create your own this takes the pressure off of money concerns.  You can always gamble with cookies or other items.
Your imagination is going to determine how rowdy the party gets.  The individuals you invite will also set the tone for the party.
