With our growing technology, laptops are one of the most popular electronic machines on the market.  The convenience of using a personal computer that you can take from room to room is one of the main reasons that consumers are choosing laptops over other types of computers.  The prices vary, depending on the make and model that you choose, but they can get very expensive.  If you are on a tight budget, then one thing that you might want to consider is a refurbished laptop.   
Do not be confused into thinking that refurbished laptops are old or have been used for several years.  They are not outdated and they have never been broken or damaged.  Instead, when a consumer changes their mind about a particular laptop within the 90 day period, they are allowed to return it to the store or to the manufacturer for a refund.  The laptop might also have been returned because there was a very small default, such as a missing key.   
Once the manufacturer receives the laptop back from the customer, they inspect the machine and then test it for quality.  They will then repackage the laptop and sell it at a discounted price since it was already opened by another customer previously.  Refurbished laptops are considered to be one of the best selling machines on the market and one of the most successful.   
One of the best advantages of buying a refurbished laptop is the affordable price.  Many refurbished laptops are half the price of the newer ones.  If you are wanting one of the more expensive models but the new price is too high, then a refurbished model is just as good and cheaper.  Some manufacturers will also add extra customizations to the machine, meaning that you will get extra benefits that were not available on the original model before it was refurbished.   
Many manufacturers will also offer a warranty that will typically last for around a year.  You can also have the warranty extended for an extra three years if you pay an extra fee.  Not only can you get the benefits of purchasing one of the latest models for a small price, but you can rest assured knowing that you are protected in the sale.   
If all of the above sounds too good to be true, there are some considerations to remember before purchasing a refurbished laptop: 

1. What is the reputation of the company or manufacturer?  Usually you can get a refurbished model directly from the manufacturer.  However, if you are buying from an online seller, then you need to check their reliability.  Make sure that you are getting a refurbished model instead of a second-hand model. 

1. Check the price of a new model from the manufacturer and compare it to the refurbished price.  Are you really saving enough money to be buying a refurbished laptop?

1. Make sure that the warranty is the manufacturers warranty or if it really covers what the seller is stating.  You can call their customer support number to see how well they respond.  This is usually a good clue as to if they are reliable and if they will live up to their end of the bargain.
