There is a lot of information out there about taking plumbing courses to earn a great salary.  Plumbing is in demand.  Some online courses will offer you a fast track option.  However, this may not be the best option for you.  The fast track courses will allow you to get the lessons and practical experience in 2 years.  You will then have to do an apprenticeship before you launch your own business or work on your own.  In the fast track courses you may have an accredited college course or you may find something a little less.
So while you can take the fast track courses you will want to beware of what they entail.  In other words don’t just choose a course you find on the web.  In plumbing the best thing you can do is go to a certified technical college or a university.  These two places will offer you the training programme you need.  They even have fast track courses allowing you to take more courses in the year.  They may also allow for distance learning in some of the lessons.
For plumbing courses you really need hands on training.  This is because you need to use what you are learning in the books and apply it to a normal situation.  The hands on training will start off with a classroom setting where you will work with plumbing equipment and materials.  Then you will gradually be turned over to the mentorship section of the programme.
While it is true that plumbing courses will be short, the mentor programme is usually long.  They want to make sure you know exactly what you are doing and that you are within the code.  Plumbing can be a difficult career if you don’t understand what you need to do.  In fact if you make a mistake it can be very costly to fix.  The point is that the training you undergo should be proper and lengthy to ensure you know everything that you need to know.  In the plumbing world you have codes that will be checked before the building can proceed.
You don’t have to just do plumbing for houses either.  You can also be working on office buildings, government plumbing, and much more.  There are plumbing course for you to take that will allow you to be hands on in a specialty area.  These courses will often be a better option if you are looking to make more income than just a regular plumber.
In the plumbing courses you do have to realize your options and go for them.  The courses start off with the book learning to help you learn what you will be working with.  These lessons are generally easy and require tests.  The hands on or practical training is where you finally get to put the learning to use.  This is going to be more fun and require tests as well.  Once you pass the certification in the plumbing courses and get the mentorship training you can open your own place.
